What you need
Use a flexible measuring tape. If you do not have one, prepare a narrow strip of paper or non-stretch string, a pencil and a flat ruler. Avoid stretchy ribbon because it can change the result.
Luananio guide
Measure your wrist, decide how you like a bracelet to sit, then compare the specific design. A size label alone does not establish the wrist it will fit.
Use a flexible measuring tape. If you do not have one, prepare a narrow strip of paper or non-stretch string, a pencil and a flat ruler. Avoid stretchy ribbon because it can change the result.
Wrap the tape around the point where you want the bracelet to sit. Keep it close to the skin without pulling it tight or leaving a gap. Mark the overlap if you are using paper or string.
Lay the tape or marked strip flat and read the wrist circumference in centimetres. Repeat the measurement once. If the two results differ, measure a third time and use the result you can reproduce.
A close fit stays nearer the wrist; a relaxed fit allows more movement. Larger beads reduce the space inside the bracelet. Do not choose the same number as your wrist measurement or add a universal allowance without considering the specific design.
Our 16, 17 and 18 cm size options describe the finished bracelet circumference, not a guaranteed wrist-fit range. Bead diameter and construction affect the space inside. Measure your wrist first, then contact us with the product link and whether you prefer a close or relaxed fit if you are unsure.
Yes, if it has a similar construction. Measure its inner circumference or lay it in its natural shape and follow the method appropriate to that style. Tell us how you measured it so we can compare like with like.
They can. Larger beads occupy more space around the inside of a bracelet, which is why bead diameter and the product’s stated wrist-fit range both matter.
